Historic announcement: We are building the worlds largest eMethanol plant through our partnership A2X

The plant is scheduled to be commissioned in 2025 and is a very important contribution to CO2-neutral shipping and is at the same time a very good example of sector coupling. The plant will produce 200,000 tonnes green methanol per year and makes use of the products and residual products from H2 Energy and Energnisten in Esbjerg.

We are proud to announce that we, through our partnership in A2X, will be building the worlds largest eMethanol plant. The project will utilize the products and residual products currently produced at H2 Energy and Energnisten in Esbjerg

Specifically this means that the hydrogen produced by H2 Energy in Esbjerg and the CO2 produced by the waste incinerator Energnisten will be decisive elements in the eMethanol production.

The facility will produce up to 200,00 tons of green methanol per year.
